Seed in Salford
Seed in Salford
Beside St Philip's church SJ8298 : Church of St Philip is a large iron sculpture of two sycamore seeds created by Andrew McKeown. It is said that "the sculpture represents life and growth emerging from the decline of the traditional engineering and manufacturing industries. It symbolises the future and the potential this area of Salford has to grow and prosper from the seeds that were planted by the 2002 Regeneration Strategy." LinkExternal link

It forms part of the Irwell Sculpture Trail.
The Irwell Sculpture Trail
