The building was home to a branch of Lloyds bank until 2017 when it closed its doors for the last time, hot on the heels of rival Barclays also closing their branch in the town. Banking services are now provided by a mobile branch which regularly visits the town.
I have read that by St Cuthberts's church in Bellingham there is a tomb slab over the grave of a robber, who had hidden 'in a pedlar's pack' and been shot 'when he twitched'! Worth a GEOGRAPH photo perhaps and a small donation to church funds? [qv Timpson's Country Churches, 1998]
