Presumably the road is named after all the oak trees flanking it ... a number of houses here are already occupied and some are adorned with ornamental plaques (above door at left). Halsbury Homes are currently building what they describe as "a superb collection of 2, 3, 4 and 5 bedroom houses of Georgian style exteriors combined with modern interiors" as well as a number of 3-bedroom bungalows on a plot north of George Lane in Loddon. This development of 202 new homes reputedly benefits from major infrastructure funding support via the Norwich Growth Fund and Hampshire Trust Bank.
