In her youth. The inscriptions on the plinth read "VICTORIA OF ENGLAND [whatever happened to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland?]/1837-1901/; UNVEILED BY KING EDWARD VII/JULY 11, 1906/; and THE GIFT OF SIR RILEY LORD/1906".

There is barely a passing resemblance to the coronation portrait by George Hayter LinkExternal link given in the Wiki entry LinkExternal link .

The statue is Grade II* listed (no, I don't know why, either).
