Black's of Greenock

A major UK supplier of Camping and walking equipment.
In 1861 Thomas Black ended his sea-faring days and set up a sail-making business on the River Clyde as Blacks of Greenock.
Success followed for many years but, as Britain's shipping fleets moved from sail to steam, Blacks of Greenock gradually evolved into making canvas tents and sleeping bags.
