Causeway at the north-east corner of Hallington Reservoir East
One of a chain of reservoirs constructed in the late 19th century to serve Newcastle and Gateshead. The main source of supply at the head of the chain is the Catcleugh Reservoir near Byrness. The causeway cuts off a small arm of the reservoir and carries a bridleway.
