Hands Across the Divide
“Hands across the Divide”, Maurice Harron’s striking bronze sculpture of two men reaching out to each other which stands in a garden on a roundabout at Carlisle Circus in Derry, is also sometimes known as “Reconciliation”. The sculpture which symbolises a spirit of reconciliation and hope for the future was erected in 1992, 20 years after Bloody Sunday LinkExternal link .
