Hereford Waterworks Museum - Balsdean Pump
This is a 1935 built Harland of Alloa borehole pump with a 780 hp 3-phase motor driving a pump 220 feet below ground level and a booster pump just below ground level. This pump was retired in 2006 and donated to the Waterworks Museum. It has not featured on Geograph before to the best of my knowledge but is worthy as an example of the earlier generation of electric pumps that replaced steam power for water supply.
