Crumpwood Pumping Station
Crumpwood Pumping Station
Seen through a window as there is no access inside. This was built by South Staffordshire Waterworks company and contains three water turbine driven pumping sets that could in total pump 15,000 gallons per hour. The turbines drive the large bevel wheels on the three throw crankshafts that actuate single acting ram pumps. The intake channel is silted and it appears the plant hasn't run for quite some time.
