Now run by Pubmaster, this public house is conveniently by the Middlewood Way, a recreational footpath along the former Macclesfield, Bollington and Marple Railway. Is this the old Temperance Coffee House opened in 1876 for the "benefit" of local miners?

Update 30.3.10 No. Apparently it isn't. New information coming soon.
