The Bar Convent, York
Taking its name from the nearby Micklegate Bar, the Catholic convent was founded in the 17th century; the main buildings date from the 18th century, largely rebuilt after Second World War bombing and renovated again in 2015. Today, although there is still a small religious community on site, it functions mainly as a museum and guest house.

The complex of buildings is together listed grade 1 (list entry 1259503).
