Fallow deer in the snow at Ashridge Estate
Fallow deer in the snow at Ashridge Estate
This section of the extensive Ashridge Estate (National Trust) LinkExternal link is a golf course to the immediate north of Ashridge Management College. The fallow deer (an unusually dark variety) wander all over the estate; here they are seen nibbling at grass that they have exposed beneath the snow cover beside the woods that fringe the golf course on its eastern side.
