In the service road adjacent to No.44 King Street, one of the 'iconic' K6 cast-iron telephone kiosks designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott in 1935. The boxes are without the royal crown and are cream-painted, being unique to the former Hull Corporation Telephone Department. Further information: LinkExternal link

In the centre background, the Council Offices, 1909, neo-Georgian by Gelder & Kitchen, built for Cottingham Urban District Council (1894-1935). Since 1935, the building has been adapted for other uses.
