taken 6 years ago, near to Crawleyside, County Durham, England

Snow in valley of Heathery Burn
Snow in valley of Heathery Burn
Deep snow drifts and extensive snow cover remain in the valley even though a thaw has set in. The dark, near-horizontal band below the centre of the image is an estate road; a barrier can be seen on it as well as piled snow pushed from the road's surface.
