Officially opened in 2004, The Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Fountain is a memorial to Diana, Princess of Wales. It was designed to express Diana's spirit and love of children. It is located in the southwest corner of Hyde Park in London, just south of the Serpentine Lake and east of the Serpentine Gallery.
The Millennium Edition of Brewer's 'Dictionaryof Phrase and Fable' mentions that the site of Tyburn Tree (gallows) is 'marked by three brass triangles let into the pavement at the corner of Edgeware Road and Bayswater road'. Executions ended there in 1783. May we have a photo please from one of you Marble Arch GEOGRAPH-ers?
