Canal at Fazeley Junction in Staffordshire
Canal at Fazeley Junction in Staffordshire
This is the Birmingham and Fazeley Canal near Fazeley Junction, looking north-west towards Whittington and Fradley. The basin to the left has been left to provide private moorings among the new apartments.
Coventry Canal (Fazeley to Whittington) :: SK1707
This section of the Birmingham and Fazeley Canal was opened by 1789 along a route planned by the Coventry Canal Company, but delayed because of lack of money. This is the reason why several miles of canal between Fazeley and Whittington have un-numbered bridges. It is often now considered as part of the Coventry Canal.
