Built in 1829-32 by R D Chantrell, it was one of the second wave of Commissioners' Churches, in the Early English style, simpler and less costly than the Decorated style found in many earlier churches. The spire was added in 1860. Listed Grade II. Converted to a community centre in 1980. View from the south east. The churchyard wall is also Listed Grade II.
