The plaque in Dukinfield Old Chapel reads:

SACRED
TO
THE MEMORY OF
HENRY BAYLEY, J.P.
OF KELSALL HOUSE, STALYBRIDGE,
BORN JANUARY 4TH 1805
DIED NOVEMBER 19TH 1875.
ALSO OF MARY, WIFE OF THE ABOVE,
BORN SEPTEMBER 22ND 1816,
DIED APRIL 14TH 1904.
Old Chapel, Dukinfield
The first Unitarian Chapel, built here in 1707, was irreparably damaged by a storm in 1839. Stones from the old chapel were used as the foundations for the present building which was opened on 26th August 1840. It is Grade II* listed LinkExternal link
