Old Melrose
Old Melrose
Old Melrose is on a land peninsula surrounded by the River Tweed and was the site of a 7th century monastery with links to St Aidan and St Cuthbert. The 19th century house called Old Melrose is visible on the left through autumn mists. The Eildon Hills in the background are from left to right, Eildon Wester Hill, Eildon Mid Hill and Eildon Hill North. Viewed from Scott's View in early October.
