Bridges at Haltwhistle
Bridges at Haltwhistle
A roadway leads under this narrow railway bridge just south of Haltwhistle and is then blocked off other than to cyclists and pedestrians as it crosses the River South Tyne. This was formerly a road giving access from Haltwhistle to the countryside and villages south of the river, but the building of the Haltwhistle by-pass made it redundant.
