Jubilee Marsh breach, Wallasea Island
Jubilee Marsh breach, Wallasea Island
A channel (one of three) has been cut through saltings and sea wall so the River Roach can flow into the marsh area off to the right as the tide rises. The gap in the sea wall in off to the right, this view looks at the former saltings area. The corner of land on the right is the tip of the saltings, which formerly extended across roughly to where the shore line meets the left edge of this view.
Across the river is Foulness Island.
