Pudsey Cemetery - chapels
Pudsey Cemetery - chapels
The dual chapels (Anglican and secular) are now disused and dilapidated, and even more so than in 2007 SE2133 : Cemetery Chapels, Pudsey Cemetery - Cemetery Road.
Pudsey Cemetery
The cemetery is a grade 2* listed "park" (list entry 1001614), laid out in 1872 to the designs of William Gay, and has been in use since 1875. The eastern half is consecrated for Church of England burials but the western half is secular (unconsecrated). In the centre is a dual chapel - presumably likewise sacred/secular - but it is now disused, dilapidated and fenced off as dangerous. The whole site is in the ownership of Leeds City Council.
