ST5972 : Regenerating the Generator

taken 6 years ago, near to Bristol, England

Regenerating the Generator
Regenerating the Generator
The building on the left is the old Generator house, which was the primary electricity generating plant for Bristol's tram system. It ran during the Blitz but suffered a fatal damage when a large bomb landed just outside in the road and destroyed the cabling. The trams (already under scrutiny before the war started) never ran again. Now the Grade II building is being completely redeveloped into office space, whilst keeping the exterior appearance.
