St Calixtus Church, West Down, Devon
St Calixtus Church, West Down, Devon
A typical cruciform mainly 14th century church with a square tower at its western end containing a peal of six bells..
Off the Nave are North and South Transepts of different sizes. The smaller south transept was no doubt used as a chapel and has a slanting arched opening or squint to allow those sitting there to see the altar.
