Helen Street Gas Works

The works opened in 1949 and consisted of a single spiral guided gas holder and a boosting station. The works are located in a fairly small triangle of land between three railway lines, including the still active Glasgow to Paisley line. The other lines have been lifted and much of the surrounding land remains vacant and derelict at the time of writing in April 2018. It is not clear if the existing gas holder at the site is in use.
