This is the highest medieval moat in the county of Cheshire on around the 230 metre contour. It is fairly complete with partial standing water. Scheduled monument. This is the south-western arm with the house standing within the moated precinct. The house is an accumulation of elements from the 16th to the 20th centuries and is Listed Grade II.
