Whorlton Bridge
The suspension bridge was built by John and Benjamin Green in 1829-31. Tolls were imposed until the First World War. LinkExternal link
There is a 3 ton weight limit on the bridge. But even small vehicles passing over can produce a disturbing bouncing to pedestrians.
