taken 6 years ago, near to Norwich, Norfolk, England

Medieval boom tower
Medieval boom tower
This is the eastern boom tower, also known as Devil's Tower. It is complemented by another > Link on the other side of the river Wensum. The two towers had chains of Spanish iron stretched between them, which could be raised to stop ships wanting to enter Norwich by river. This tower is also known as the Devil's Tower. See > Link for a wider view. For a view of the boom tower across the river from here see > Link.
