This path follows the valley of the Afon Wygyr between the harbour at Cemaes and the former Cemaes Bay brickworks. During the short lifetime of the works, between 1907 and 1914, a tramway used this route bringing coal from the harbour to the works and finished bricks in the opposite direction. The tramway had a 2-foot gauge and ran for about 500 metres; there were no locomotives and the trucks were either pulled by men or horses. For further information see LinkExternal link
