The hostel (converted from a farm building formerly known as Hay Dike) is owned by the Scouts but available to rent by other groups when they don't need it. The lack of a flag on the flagpole suggests the users this weekend were not Scouts. It boasts of being self-powered by wind and solar energy.
By coincidence, I happened to be looking at this pic exactly one year to the day that it was taken. I couldn't help notice the total contrast in the weather between then and now! This pic shows a scattering of snow, and hence low temperatures, whilst today has been warm and bright.
