Auchagallon Stone Circle is a grass-covered cairn surrounded by 15 stones, 13 sandstone and 2 granite. Someone important was buried here about 4000 years ago. The Auchagallon Stone Circle has not been excavated in modern times, although there are stories of a cist or stone burial box being found in the 19th century.
