The Great Hall, Sudeley Castle
The Great Hall, Sudeley Castle
The remains of the Great hall in Sudeley Castle. The hall was built at the time the castle was in the possession of King Richard III in the fifteenth century. During the English Civil War the castle's owners supported the king's cause, however it was captured by Parliamentarian forces and subsequently slightly, made undefendable. In later years some of the castle was restored however the Great Hall remained in its ruined state.
