TF0923 : Uncontrolled crossing

taken 7 months ago, near to Morton, Lincolnshire, Great Britain

Uncontrolled crossing
Uncontrolled crossing
With just a couple of plastic bollards for protection, this is the crossing to the new shop in Morton, complete with tactile paving for the use of the visually impaired.

How on earth the visually impaired are supposed to know it is safe to cross each half of the A15 with no lights, or even adequate street lights, I cannot imagine.
The A15
The A15 is the main north-south road in Lincolnshire, running the entire length of the county for almost 100 miles between Hessle, near Kingston upon Hull, and Peterborough via Lincoln, Sleaford and Bourne. It is also the road that crosses the Humber Bridge.
