Geograph - photograph every grid square

The yard is named after the King of Prussia pub on the corner of Hallgate. It was owned by the Albion Brewery of Hardybutts, Wigan and closed in 1914. Now it is fish and chip restaurant called Mr Chips SD5805 : Mr Chips.

The Bricklayers Arms in Hallgate was derelict when Sue Adair photographed it in 2007 SD5805 : Bricklayers Arms. It had been a Tetley house but still had its sign then. In March 2015 it became the Wigan base for the Brothers of Charity Services Link who provide a diverse range of supports to people with complex needs, including flexible day time support and outreach services. However since I photographed it in 2016 SD5805 : Bricklayers Arms (former) it appears to become empty again.
