Aber Gwenwyn Feirch - Stream of the Poisoned Horses
Aber Gwenwyn Feirch - Stream of the Poisoned Horses
Running alongside Nurse College, a stream with a sinister name. In 1945, Rowland Fychan, a Royalist who lived at Caer Gai, was being hunted by Cromwell's men, who stopped by the stream to water their horses. Friends of Rowland threw the needles of yew trees into the stream, the horses drank the now poisoned water, became ill so Rowland escaped.
