Former park
Former park
A thousand years ago this was parkland, associated with the Manor of Bytham. There is still a farm in the middle called Park House Farm.

A hundred years after that it was the first home of Vaudey Abbey, moved in a generation into Grimsthorpe Park, for reasons we will never understand.
