Hercules aircraft flies low past Bowhill
Hercules aircraft flies low past Bowhill
Just after taking a photo of Bowhill House NT4227 : Bowhill, house, lawn, heather bank, topiary a large plane flew past close by - I reckoned from dimensions of plane and house that it was about 400 metres away. See NT4229 : An RAF Hercules in the Yarrow Valley and NT4130 : An RAF Hercules in the Yarrow Valley for other more detailed photos of Hercules planes flying low in this area.
Bowhill
Bowhill is one of the houses of the Duke of Buccleuch and Queensbury. The house is open to the public with very limited opening times, the gardens and grounds are generally open. There are good walks, children's activities and a tree trail.
