NC0731 : A straight section of B869

taken 7 months ago, near to Clashnessie, Highland, Great Britain

A straight section of B869
A straight section of B869
The tortuous B869 is almost straight right across this grid square and allows the motorist to achieve dizzying speeds of around 40mph and the use of maybe 5th gear, before braking for the inevitable blind corner and slowing to a more sedate 20mph. The old fashioned telegraph posts are a nostalgic sight here.
