NY5121 : Millkeld Sike

taken 4 months ago, near to Whale, Cumbria, Great Britain

Millkeld Sike
Millkeld Sike
A curious little beck that begins just a short distance to the west at a strong spring ['keld'] before disappearing into a lengthy culvert that emerges here. The clue appears to be on old 6" maps which show the bridleway above this point as being a long ford, so nowadays it isn't necessary to go paddling.
