Clifftop footpath to Rascarrel Bay
Clifftop footpath to Rascarrel Bay
There's no such thing as bad weather - just good weather for a different sport. So, since it wasn't raining and there was no water in the kayaking rivers we'd looked at, we went for a walk to reconnoitre a bit of the Solway coast for future sea kayaking. It all looks much more interesting than I'd expected with rocks and little stacks for rock-hopping and interesting bays for lunch stops. The signs for this footpath carry dire warnings and suggest alternatives. It probably is somewhat more dangerous than sitting at home, and could be harder in a gusty wind, but surely people make those assessments themselves rather than being scared off by gratuitous signage. One suspects the covering of backsides is going on.
