'Nutfield' at Crick Boat Show
Nutfield was one of the historic narrowboats on display at the 2018 Crick Boat Show. She was built in 1936 and spent her working life on the Grand Union Canal, carrying her last commercial load in October 1970 - coal from Atherstone to a jam factory at Southall. As was common practice on the Grand Union, she towed a butty - an arrangement known as a working pair; her last butty was Raymond which has been restored and can be seen moored alongside.
