Lowestoft High Street Plaques

There are a number of circular grey plaques on various buildings in Lowestoft High Street.
Most bear the words "SVFFOLK VILLA LOWISTOFF" around a winged angel holding a crown with a rose below; an element of Lowestoft's coat of Arms.
The original wording of which is "SOFFOCHE VILLA LOWISTOFT".
The Heraldic Arms of Lowestoft, originally registered in 1913 bear the Motto "POINT DU JOUR" referring to Lowestoft being the most easterly point on the British Isles and the first town each day to greet the sunrise.
