Upright stone near the Feadan Grassagro, Isle of Lewis
The 1st Edition OS map which was surveyed in 1852-3 shows several ruined shieling huts along the Feadan Grassagro and so cattle would have been grazed in this area. Therefore it is possible that this is a clach tachais, a scratching stone for cattle.

Buildings in Dail bho Dheas/South Dell can be seen along the horizon to the left and NB4961 : Hall, Dail to the right.
