According to the OS Name Book of 1848-1852, Loch Grasabhat, then spelled Ghrassabhat, is a single name applied to four lochans: "Four small lochs, which are joined together by small streams, and are situated very near to each other. Feadan Ghrassagro flows out of the south-eastern one. Two of them are considerably larger than the other two".
