Church of St John the Baptist, Wakefield
An Anglican parish church on Wentworth Street, just north of the city centre. Built in classical style in 1791-95 by Charles Watson as the centrepiece of a Georgian square, the tower was rebuilt in 1885 and the church extended with a new chancel in 1905 to designs of J.T. Micklethwaite. It is now grade 2* listed (list entry 1258554).
