The building in the centre of the photo bears a blue plaque which states,
'The Town Hall. Site of the original hall built in the reign of James I. This building dates from 1840. The lower part was used as a cheese market.'
The carved figure on the side of the building is Henry VII, first Welsh King of the English, by E. Folkard.
