SU6201 : Portsmouth Harbour - North Corner

taken 6 years ago, near to Portsea, Portsmouth, England

Portsmouth Harbour - North Corner
Portsmouth Harbour - North Corner
The visible wall is North Corner in Portsmouth Naval Dockyard. The huge vessel alongside is HMS Queen Elizabeth, the country's new aircraft carrier and claimed to be the largest vessel built to date in the UK. She is still in the process of commissioning and has yet to receive her air arm. Like her predecessors she has a ski jump rather than a catapult and launches planes with short take-off capacity.
