Baguley 760 of 1918 - Tracks to the Trenches
Baguley 760 of 1918 - Tracks to the Trenches
This was a truly excellent three day event to remember the centenary of WWI. There were earlier events in 2014 and 2016.
The locomotive was originally petrol powered and built by Baguley of Burton-on-Trent. It was recovered from a flooded clay pit in 1965 and restored. The original engine was unserviceable and has been replaced by a Lister diesel. The engine is normally at the Welsh Highland Heritage Railway.
