The track on the left led to the farm buildings (they have been gone for decades). The track turns to the left, but only continues in that direction for a few metres; there is a gate there, and the buildings were just beyond the gate.

On the right is a footpath, which is also part of cycle route NCN 7.

Mains of Cardross

Mains of Cardross was a farm near the River Leven, 550 metres ESE of present-day Dalmoak Farm (Young's Farm), with which its former fields are now associated.
