The mill is now within the estate owned by the Woodland Trust/National Trust partnership. The 28 July was an open day when members of the public were able to see the archaeological excavations carried out so far on this ancient mill site. Here measurements are being made in the cog pit, where the pit wheels once turned - there were two, each powered by a narrow-width undershot waterwheel
